POST-SYMPOSIUM PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES

Papers presented at the Symposium may be developed into extended journal articles for publication in collaborating journals.

5th International Symposium on Ecological Architecture and Planning | 2–4 November 2026, Antalya | TMMOB Chamber of Architects, Antalya Branch

Our Symposium is organised in consideration of the current criteria established by the Interuniversity Board (ÜAK) for international scientific meetings within associate professorship applications. The Scientific Committee comprises academics from different countries, and all papers submitted to the Symposium are accepted following a scientific peer-review process. Accepted papers will be published electronically in the Symposium Proceedings.

Among the papers presented at the Symposium, selected studies recommended by the Scientific Committee and subsequently evaluated by the relevant journal editors will be invited for consideration as extended full-length articles in special issues or regular issues of collaborating national and international peer-reviewed journals following the Symposium.

Manuscripts submitted to the journals must be prepared in accordance with the author guidelines of the relevant journal and must contain substantially developed scientific content compared with the paper presented at the Symposium.

All journals listed below are peer-reviewed and open access. The publication model and language of each journal are indicated in its information line.

JENAS – Journal of Environmental and Natural Studies

An international journal focusing on environmental and natural sciences. It addresses environmental issues and practice-oriented solutions through disciplines including geography, biology, landscape studies, urban planning, public administration, and environmental engineering. Ecological Perspective (ECOPERS)

From Symposium Paper to Journal Article

1. The paper undergoes peer review and is presented at the Symposium. Accepted papers are published in the electronic Symposium Proceedings.

2. The Scientific Committee makes recommendations, and journal editors conduct their evaluations. Selected studies are invited for consideration in a special issue or regular issue of the relevant journal.

3. The extended full-length manuscript is submitted to the journal. The manuscript is prepared in accordance with the journal’s author guidelines and must demonstrate a substantial development of the scientific content compared with the Symposium paper.

IMPORTANT

All submissions, regardless of whether they have been invited or previously presented at the Symposium, will be subject to the standard peer-review and editorial evaluation procedures of the relevant journal. An invitation does not guarantee publication of the manuscript.
